Are you beginning to feel more than just a little queasy around the gills with all the double talk and "no speak" coming from your elected officials in Washington DC at and ever accelerating pace? Especially since it's the election season for all the next group of wannta be "looters & plunders;" with all their lies, scams and attacks even more grandiose and down and dirty guttural than ever seen in the past! But, listen up, do you even feel more grossly nauseated when it comes to any type of real border security along our boundaries with Mexico? We have recently noted that our very own Border Patrol Agents are being sentenced to prison for enforcing the laws and stopping illegal drug transactions along this very same border. Have you ever wondered what this type of action being perpetuated against our own agents has done to their morale and desire to enforce the myriad of existing laws? And to make this story worse, the Mexican drug dealer was allowed to freely move back across the border into Mexico to repeat the same offense once again! By the way, these two agents are still in and American Prison, with their only offense being that they stopped an illegal drug dealer-smuggler from crossing into the USA to sell his load of marijuana to yours and my children and they were charged with using "EXCESSIVE FORCE!" Does this type madness make your blood boil? The US Border Patrol is one of our most important first lines of defense against terrorist infiltration? Is the foul smell of mass corruption becoming so obnoxious and offensive that you are retching with disgust and distrust with these types of blunders taking place on a daily basis?

Or are you just too damn busy with your own self interests to have even given any real thought to what's really taking place in America today? Or do you even really care? Or perhaps you are so stupid you really feel someone else is looking out for you? Or perhaps you are naive enough to really believe that someone else really will "take care of you" if you just surrender a little more of your precious few Freedoms that you have left for more so-called Governmental Security? Or perhaps you feel that you are so highly intelligent and enlightened and above it all and "slick" (sic) like "Willy Bob" Clinton that you can easily survive any situation, no matter how many 1,000's of Terrorists are quietly smuggled across our border to the south with plans to kill your ass and all your loved ones in the process! A group of truly Barbaric and Insane individuals straight from the 15th century who have for eons since their early childhoods been brainwashed into believing that committing suicide in the name of a so-called Allah and killing innocent men, women and children all around the globe, but especially in Israel and the USA is the world's most noble calling. You need to understand that a group of fanatical madmen and women are slowly building in size and strength all across America, just awaiting the day for the final order to deploy an atrocity the likes of which America has never seen or suffered before in our short history. I can assure you that 9/11 was merely a practice run and prelude for what Islamic Mad Dogs Terrorists really have planned for you, your family and loved ones and our Western Civilization.

Think about all the ramifications that and Atomic attack delivered against infidels in America by Barbarian Mad Dog Killers that are already within our walls primarily because your so-called elected officials refuse to seriously enforce our border security will have on you, your family and loved ones?

Do you feel that your elected officials are acting in your own best interest; or there's? After all, they all have will planned and equipped disaster evacuations centers located all around our great country (not for you, but for them and of course, all built at your expense) and your President can easily order up Air Force One to fly safely at 40,000 feet with Air Force fighter escorts, watching all the death and destruction taking place below in the heartland, just as he did for hours when we were attacked on 9/11.

Do you feel an attack on the USA of this magnitude would lead to a direct call for strict Governmental Emergency Martial Laws being imposed on all citizens across our great country with a total loss of your last few remaining real freedoms? And, do you feel that you would ever be given your freedoms back once again if they were all stolen once and for all in the last final blow against you and me and our Western society?

Think about it. Think about it seriously. Think about it like (sic) very seriously!

Like (sic) maybe today?

Can you believe it's almost the Winter Solstice and Holiday Season already? Time sure does have a way of slipping away, especially when one is having so much fun! This year's Winter Solstice officially takes place around December 22nd with our shortest day of sunlight in the Northern Hemisphere. This also marks the beginning of longer days in our part of the world until our beautiful "Mother Earth" begins to slowly tilt once again this next summer in June after our longest day of actual sunlight for the entire year and then this cycle begins once again, as it has for eons.

During the course of this annual cyclic time frame, all the fresh water Bass species will have spawned at least once during this cycle with exact times dependant on Latitude/Longitude, water temperatures, angle of the sun and actual length of daylight in each day.

But on a more important subject; the "catchin" has been absolutely phenomenal at beautiful Lake Huites so far this season with incredible numbers of bass caught daily with a fantastic topwater bite! It has not been uncommon for each boat to catch and release 125-175 bass per day with several dozens in the 5-8 pound class and lots of 2-4 pound bass; and guess what? We are starting to see some huge bass being caught as well, with a 10.6 11.3 and 12.4 weighed last week. Those savvy anglers that know where and how to target the larger bass population at Huites are really being rewarded with some nice size trophy bass and our guides at Lake Huites Lodge have extensive knowledge of the lake and know how to put you on the best bass populations in the lake. Many anglers consider Lake Huites to be the most beautifully spectacular in all Mexico and yours truly happens to be among this group! I have personally spent many an action packed day at Lake Huites and during the course of each day, I would just have to stop fishing and marvel at the actual breath taking beauty of the lake and surrounding countryside. It is truly spectacular in many areas of the lake with mountain bluffs offering a once in a lifetime panoramic spectacle! One excellent fishing pattern has been to merely follow the sun's shadow line in these steep walled canyons each day and use this as the edge or break line, as the bass tend to migrate and hold along this light to dark area as it gives them a much better ambush advantage. And when you can locate this type situation on the right structure with the necessary cover>>>man, you had better be paying very close attention, or you might just lose that $500.00 dollar or more rod and reel when jaws decides to move up at the speed of light from the shadowy depths to engulf your bait.

Speaking of losing a rod and reel; I actually had one taken away from me many, many years ago under just such circumstances and never was able to retrieve one of my custom wrapped prized possessions! And I have lost several more rigs while fishing in extremely heavy cover and had them pulled out of the boat as I was moving with the trolling motor. After having this happen a couple times due to being in such a hurry to catch that next big hog that I didn't get an extra rod all the way down inside the boat far enough; I took a big ole "smartin" Pill and it wasn't long before I found a product ("Rod Bobs") that one can actually slip over the cork handle reel end of your rod. With one of these neat little inventions installed, one never needs worry about the loss of another rod and reel, as they really will float all but the very largest saltwater type rigs. Lucky for me, I was able to purchase many dozens of these great little rod savers, but they eventually do wear out after many hours on the water and need to be replaced for maximum protection. Much to my dismay, when I called to re-order several more packages some time ago, I found that the company was no longer in business and none were to be found anywhere. But the good news is that one can purchase some extra heavy duty pipe insulation and make their own Rod Bobs. Not quite as pretty and no molded "UGH BUTTON" on the butt end; but never the less, they will still save a valuable rod and reel if accidently dropped overboard for any reason. I have had numerous occasions when I would be fishing with a stranger and they would finally get up enough nerve to ask me what all that ugly black stuff was on the reel end of my rods? And I would merely "pitch" the rod and reel over board. And, with shocked disbelief, the person in the back of the boat would watch in astonishment as my rod and reel popped back to the surface of the water. Of course, I had to do this by myself under controlled conditions with line in hand just in case, before demonstrating with other individuals; but after experimenting with all lengths of rods and different weight reels that the average bass angler might utilize I found that these handy dandy slip over's really did work; every time! For the life of me, I cannot figure out why these items were not purchased by the millions, because they were cheap and really do work, but apparently for unknown reasons the guy that manufactured them didn't sell enough inventory to keep the doors open! By the way, any of you guys and gals that might have a few packs of new "Rod Bobs" laying around in the corner of that mountain of unused tackle and gear, I sure would be interested in hearing from you if you don't plan on using them.

Lake Baccarac has had an unusual amount of heavy rainfall over the watershed for this time of year and has had a substantial rise in the lake elevation. However, this hasn't slowed down the action and the bass have moved up into more shallow water and the action still continues to be excellent with good numbers and size bass caught daily.

Fishing continues Melt Down "RED HOT" at Lake Baccarac with huge numbers of trophy bass being caught daily along with good numbers per day also. A good day on Baccarac is 100+ bass with at least several bass over 10 pounds in each boat! A slow day is 40+ with a shot at least one over 10 pounds! If you know of a better lake than Lake Baccarac I sure would like to hear from you; but of course, there is not a lake in the world that comes remotely close to the superb trophy angling we are now experiencing at this trophy paradise down south of the border.

As I have previously mentioned on several occasions, we owe much of the credit for this dynamic cycle back to the best trophy angling the world has ever seen to one man. A man of rare talent and a true visionary with a knack for long term thinking which is already paying huge dividends for every lucky angler that is fortunate enough to chunk a lure in this beautiful Mexican Trophy Bass Paradise! That man of course is Mr. Terry Hollan, owner operator of beautiful Lake Baccarac Lodge. He and his partner, Rene Salazar have walked the walk and talked the talk and all their hard work and effort are paying handsome dividends in the form of unheard of success at the end of each day on the water at Baccarac! Almost every single customer that has fished Baccarac this season so far has caught their best personal largest bass of a lifetime and many anglers have managed to land 4 to 12 bass over 10 pounds in a standard three day package trip! I had one customer who had been fishing for a 10 pound bass for over twenty years with not one single bass over 10 pounds to show for his hard work and time spent on the water. Last month while fishing Baccarac for three days he not only finally caught a 10 pound bass; he managed to catch 8 more bass over 10 pounds with 2 of them over 12 pounds! Talk about a happy customer! Of course we hear customers talk about "Good Customer Relations" with outfitters and Lodge owners all the time; but let me tell you, nothing takes precedent over catching the bass of a lifetime as far as GOOD customer relations are concerned. Outfitters and Lodge owners come and go, but catching that once in a lifetime bass is a memory that is cherished for a lifetime!

I still have a few rooms available during April-May and June; which by the way is my favorite time to fish any Mexican Lake because the lakes will almost always be at their lowest levels of the year during this time frame with easy post spawn patterns and bass schooled on the last best structure-cover that is available. My largest bass ever caught was on July 4th at 1:30 in the afternoon and my best 5 bass ever caught in a mornings angling weighed a whopping 68+ pounds in May of 1996. So don't try and tell me about the poor late spring-summer angling in Mexico, cause it's the biggest bunch of BS ever perpetuated by the angling fraternity. If you'd rather fish in nice warm-calm weather with stable easy patterns instead of fighting miserable cold windy weather, just give the months of April-May and June and honest effort. As final proof of the excellent post spawn angling down south; we had a group of 26 anglers fishing Baccarac starting June 26th and in three days they caught a mind boggling 40 bass over 10 pounds! There are many lakes in Mexico that don't produce that many 10 pound bass in a years time>>>>So, as the Old "Axiom" of big bass angling goes: If you want to catch big bass, fish a lake full of trophy bass and Lake Baccarac certainly fits that criteria and then some.
