For
starters; prepare yourself for the
"best bass angling trip"
of your lifetime and then just visualize the size
of the bass swimming in this beautiful Mexican
Mountain Lake! The "official" lake record is a magnificent
19+
pound bass, with many
stories of much bigger bass weighed by local
anglers, several in excess of 24 lbs. Since the
2003-2004 season; every time we have turned around,
customers were
catching 15+; 14+ pound bass and so many in
excess of 10 lbs that we have literally lost count!
Trophy bass by the boat loads with exceptional
numbers of 5 to 7 lb. fish. Simply put, Baccarac is
the premiere
hot, hot Mexican lake and quite possibly the very
best in all Mexico for size and numbers of fish and
one things for certain; Baccarac is back in all her
glory and then some! With new stricter guidelines in
place for controlling harvest of trophy fish, we
look for this lake to quite possibly easily crank
out some bass in the 20+ pound class this next

This
beautiful lake is nestled among the foothills of the
Sierra Madres forested
mountain peaks and offers unsurpassed natural beauty
and tranquility and as an extra added bonus, the Mexican
government has just recently paved a major
portion of the road into the lodge, making access from Los Mochis
much, much easier. The drive is currently only 2.5 hours.
You may also access the lake by private plane, or
use our charter air service as
the small town of Bacubirito has a 5,200 foot paved very well
maintained airstrip located within minutes from the
Lodge with 24/7 security at the airstrip provided by
the Mexican Military.

This beautiful new facility rivals the Lodge located
on Lake Huites in both style and comfort and we have
new 18 foot Crestliner’s with 60 hp motors, front
and rear remote operated trolling motors, depth
finders and new Yamaha Outboards. New 22 foot
Skeeter’s with 250 HP Merc’s
are also available at additional cost for those
anglers that simply require the best that money can
buy.

September through June. Although the lake offers
excellent fishing on a year-round basis, we’ve
discovered that the months outside the prime fishing
window of September through June are often extremely
hot or rainy.

Baccarac Lodge Travel Itinerary
The
majority of the anglers travel to our lodge via
private charter to Bacabirito, which is twenty
minutes from the lodge. We have several private
charter options. The private charter trips are a
package price – the fishing trip and the charter
air, but the charter air portion is NONREFUNDABLE
and NONTRANSFERABLE.
From Phoenix, Arizona
– a group of 8 anglers or 16 anglers. Pricing is
dependent on group size and days fishing.
From El Paso or Midland, Texas
– a group of 6 anglers. Pricing is dependent on
group size, departure city and days fishing. Please
call for schedule. We can accommodate a 4 night/3
day trip. 4 night/3 ½ day trip, and a 5 night/4 day
trip.
From Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas - We can fly 8
persons in our new King 200B twin turbo.
Commercial flights: Clients
may also fly commercially into Los Mochis, Mexico
via many different cities and utilizing different
airlines. It is a three-hour trip from Los Mochis
to the lodge, one way. The most common connecting
cities are Tucson, Phoenix, Monterrey, and Culiacan
and the airlines are Aero-Mexico and
Aero-California. The commercial schedule varies,
so please call us for available flights and we will
help you obtain your commercial flights through an
affiliated travel agent if you need that service.
Our policies:
oAll fishing trips are transferable to another date/another
angler, but they are nonrefundable, no exceptions.
oWe offer trip insurance and suggest you purchase it through the
company we are affiliated with or a trip insurance
provider of your choice. This will cover flight
delays, lost luggage, medical emergencies, etc.
oThere is an additional pickup fee for lost luggage or clients
who arrive to the lodge later than scheduled, due to
missing a commercial flight OR a charter flight.
oWe will pick up clients who have missed their flights at a
later time/the next day IF our transportation
schedule permits.
oIf you are traveling to the lodge on a charter flight, the
charter flight portion of your trip is NONREFUNDABLE
and NONTRANSFERABLE to another date, no exceptions.
oIf you have to cancel your entire trip, you need to do so as
soon as you are aware that you need to cancel it,
and you will be given a credit for any portion
not used
and you will have until the end of the next season
to complete it. After that, the trip is forfeited.
Private Charters can be arranged from many places in
the USA and we fly directly into Bacubirito, which
is only15 minutes from the lodge.
Weather at Lake Baccarac
The
evening and morning hours are cool because of the
cool, crisp mountain air of the Sierra Madre
Mountains. As the day progresses, it typically heats
up to between 84 and 90 degrees. Occasional showers
do occur, so a rain-suit is a must.
Lake
Baccarac Lodge Accommodations
Two
anglers will share a room complete with air
conditioner, private bathroom and filtered water.
The rooms overlook the lake. Maid service is
provided daily. Our economy rooms sleep three
anglers to a room.
Meals
at Lake Baccarac Lodge
The
cooking staff will provide a delightful array of
dishes for visiting anglers, including steaks and a
variety of sea foods with an elaborate Mexican
Fiesta Dinner one evening. Freshly made chips and salsa, along with
frosty cold margaritas and your favorite cervaza are always on hand to hold
you over until dinner is served.
Activities for the Non-Angler at Lake Baccarac Lodge
Lake
Baccarac Lodge is first and foremost a fishing
lodge. Activities other than fishing are very
limited. Non-fishing customers will be taken based
upon the Lodge capacity.
Packing for Lake Baccarac Lodge Fishing Package
Upon
receipt of deposits, you will be sent a detailed
packing list and other literature, including an
additional informational sheet about our lodges.
You can fly commercial Air to the
Mexican cities of Los Mochis (first choice)Culiacan, Mazatlán or Hermosillo.
If you fly into any city but Los Mochis, you will need to rent a
vehicle and drive to the lodge. We offer Direct Air Charter
services for groups of 8 persons from Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; for groups of 6 persons from El Paso, Texas or groups of 8
persons from Phoenix, Arizona. We offer multiple aircraft for larger
groups from either El Paso or Phoenix. As and example; (2-8
passenger aircraft for a group of 16 flying from Phoenix, Arizona).
We can however accommodate group's up to 42 persons with the new
Lodge addition that has just been completed (February 2008). You can also fly direct from either El Paso or Phoenix with smaller
groups for an additional charge (Less than aircraft capacity). All Air Charter Rates are based on
flying each aircraft at their total passenger-luggage ratings and
flying with less than a full number of occupants is always more
expensive. We also offer
"EXCLUSIVE" Executive Jet Charter Service from any
point in the world flying directly to either lake Baccarac, Huites or El Fuerte-Los
Mochis, Sinaloa. The Los Mochis International Airport offers full
service capabilities with all weather instrument approach
capabilities. All air strips-airports have 24/7 security
provided by the Mexican Military. We welcome pilots with their
own aircraft and provide a complete packet of data needed for flying
to either lake.
There are also other possibilities for
accessing either lake (not recommended) such as driving into the
lake in your own personal vehicle for "Full Service Package" trips
only. Neither facility is geared to handle drive-in customers
with their own boats as there are no areas to park, camp, or to launch
your boats at the present time and the roads are unimproved and
there are other factors that must be taken into consideration when
driving in by yourself.
Other options include taking the
scenic train trip from Chihuahua across the beautiful Copper Canyon
to Choix or Los Mochis, Sinaloa, where you will then be picked up
and driven to either lake. If you can think of another way
that you would personally like to travel to either lake, I'll be
more than pleased to accommodate you! For example; if you are
the real true athletic type angler, we can arrange for you to hike
in the last 20 kilometers with fully loaded tackle boxes and rods.
This is a great way to warm up before doing battle with jaws. And if
you are really a truly super competitive sport, we can make
arrangements for Gold and Silver Medals to be awarded to the first
and second place hikers who traverse the rugged mountain trail in
the shortest period of time. I even have a great special for
all you guys and gals that like to jump from airplanes just for the
sport of it! We drop you over a small, remote island and fish you back
to the lodge. But all kidding aside; I just wanted to make it
very clear:

I can also arrange for as many days on the water as you
would care to fish! One day or one month; the choice is yours and I
will make certain that your personal needs and desires are met each
day with service that is unequalled in the Mexican Bass Angling Tour

The only thing I cannot guarantee is that the bass will be active
every single moment that you are on the water; but, I will guarantee
that you will more than likely have an opportunity to catch the largest bass you have ever

caught daily at Lake Huites with the possibility of landing a trophy
bass as well.
