LAKES COMEDERO,

The Lake Comedero Econo Lodge is located in the small village of Ilama, which is only a few minutes drive from the lake and at Lake Mateos in the small community of Varejonal, located near the dam area. The Lodges consist of two separate structures with dining facilities and modern kitchens. Delicious traditional Mexican food is prepared daily by their experienced cooks. Fresh fish are always one of the highlights, accented with a large variety of the regions typically fresh vegetables, fruits, Pico de Gallo and favorite beverages. Purified water is always used  for cooking, ice and drinking purposes.  Bottled water and ice are also always available in each room. Both structures have four bedrooms each, furnished to accommodate 2 individuals, but are easily large enough to handle up to three fishermen for larger groups.  Each bedroom is air conditioned with private bathroom, shower and daily maid service.

Air Service To Culiacán,  Mazatlán and Los Mochis, Sinaloa  

Lakes Comedero and López Mateos are located in the central areas of the state of Sinaloa on the Pacific  Coast  of  Mexico. The closest International airport for either lake is located in Culican, capital of the State of Sinaloa.  It is approximately two hours drive to either lake from Culican. The beautiful costal city of Mazatlán also has a full service International airport, however, the drive times are considerable longer, especially if fishing Lopez Mateos.  Airline service to Culiacán and Mazatlán is provided daily by Continental Airlines,  Aero Mexico and Aero California.  Continental  Airlines  is now serving  Mazatlán non-stop from Houston, Texas.  Private pilots and charter flights are also welcome and we encourage your inquires about the locations of the most favorable airstrips and their locations in proximity to your lake of choice.  For more  information about commercial schedules and pricing, please contact our office directly.  We can provide the most competitive air fare package pricing available.

Ground Transportation  

Arturo's  Economy Lodge Package Trips also provides safe and quality ground transportation services from all three International Airports to the Lake of your choice. They always have and English speaking Lodge Representative (with proper safety driving credentials and driving license)  meet  your group at any  of  the airports and then provide transportation to the lodge in a comfortable,  air conditioned vehicle. This service is always included in the total fishing package cost.
